ABOUT US

Parents, Students, Alumni, Faculty, Staff & Bulldog Fans -

We would like to thank all our volunteers and supporters who have visited our concessions and spirit shop over the past years. Because of your patronage, we were able to grant over $57,000 to recognized FZS clubs, sports and activities during the 2022-2023 school year. We also awarded $5,000 in scholarships to 2023 graduates.

We cannot make all this happen without YOU! Our volunteers are at the heart of the FZS Boosters mission to support ALL FZS recognized clubs, organizations and sports at FZS.

Why should YOU and YOUR Student volunteer for the Booster Club?

  • Show your student that it's important to support their school and its organizations.
  • Without your help, we have to close concessions, which takes away funds that greatly needed by YOUR students.
  • Our members have a say on what our organization spends its money on. We discuss and vote on items at our monthly meetings.
  • Students are encouraged to volunteer to earn hours for various clubs and organizations. Unfortunately, concession service hours do not count towards A+ hours.
  • Concessions provide food for athletes, coaches and fans who may not have time to eat a meal at home on activity days.
  • Selling spirt wear supplements the funds that the Booster club raises to grant requests and allows ALL Bulldog fans to show their school spirit.
  • Our annual Craft Show in October brings in a large portion of our funds and takes many volunteers to run smoothly.
  • Parents of Seniors are encouraged to volunteer and attend meetings in order for their student to be eligible to apply for the FZS Booster scholarship (see requirements below).

We know that everyone has busy schedules. We only ask that you consider volunteering as much, or as little, time as you can over the school year. We appreciate any time you can give! Every little bit of your time helps us provide more for FZS Students.

For more information about volunteering, click on the Volunteer page.

FZS Booster Club meetings are open to the public and YOU are encouraged to attend. We generally meet on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7pm in the school library - please see the calendar for this year's dates. These dates may change due to holidays, weather or scheduled school activities. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or our website. We make every attempt to post any changes to the meeting schedule as soon as possible.

Any FZS Senior wanting to apply for the FZS Booster Scholarship must meet certain requirements. Students may pick up an application of guideline information from the Guidance Office (usually available in late February). For more information about the FZS Booster Scholarship, please go to our Scholarship page.

For more information about membership, please go to our Membership page.

NOTE: Scholarship winners are determined by a judging panel affiliated with FZS, but does not include FZS Booster officers or members. FZS Boosters are only notified of the winners the day of Senior Awards presentation.
